According to the decision of State Duma Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation the Fifth Far Eastern International Economic Forum will be held in Khabarovsk on October 4-5, 2011.
The Far Eastern International Economic Forum is organized under the aegis of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation with the support from the Russian Federation Government, Russian Academy of Sciences, the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, with the participation of Khabarovsky Krai Government, “Far East and Transbaikalia” Interregional Association and “Siberian Agreement” Interregional Association.

Forum motto is: ”Far Eastern Priorities in Strategy-2020”.
The Forum will concentrate on elaboration of the issues of socio-economic development of the Russian Far East regions in the context of the updated Strategy for Development of Russia up to the year 2020, discussion of effective mechanisms of implementation of the Strategy for Social and Economic Development of the Far East and Baikal region up to the year 2025, working out recommendations targeted at accelerated development of the Eastern regions of Russian and improving well-being of the Far East citizens.
Members of the State Duma and members of the Council of Federation of the Russian Federation, representatives of Russian Federation Government, prominent scientists representing Russian Academy of Science, representatives of regional administrations, Russian and overseas businesspeople and scientific communities are encouraged to take part in the Forum.
13th Interregional “Priamurskaya Trade and Industry Fair - 2011” will be held in the course of the Forum. The universal exposition and fair of the industrialists will demonstrate the latest economic achievements of Eastern Russia’s regions.
